Surf Lessons

Santa Catalina is internationally known for perfect surf conditions, drawing surfers from around the world to its Pacific breaks. The main beach break is ideal for beginners learning to pop up and ride whitewater, while La Punta — a world-class right-hand point break — challenges experienced surfers with powerful, barreling waves.

Our certified surf instructors offer daily lessons that include board rental, rash guard, and water photography. Morning sessions catch the cleanest swell, while afternoon sessions suit those who prefer warmer water. Water temperature averages 80°F (27°C) year-round, so no wetsuit needed.

We provide boards from shortboards to longboards and soft-tops. Typical lesson duration is 2 hours, and groups are kept small (max 4 students per instructor) for personalized coaching.

Staying for a surf week? Our garden, sea view and villa rooms are a minute from the beach, and groups can build a custom surf retreat.
