Coiba and the surrounding islands are home to 4 species of sea turtles, dozens of species of sharks, manta rays, dolphins, lizards, iguanas, crocodiles, and at least 130 species of birds.  It is one of the best places to dive, snorkel and birdwatch in Central America.
